Saturday, July 10, 2010 Dear Convention Registrants, In less than two weeks you will witness the most anticipated event, the 9th KCCNA Convention at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center. I take this opportunity to welcome you all to this great event. A lot of hard work and sacrifices from dedicated individuals have gone in to getting this event ready for your enjoyment. The convention begins on July 22, Thursday at 3:00Pm with Holy Mass celebrated by His Excellency Mar. Mathew Moolakat, Mar. Jacob Angadiath, other Bishops and Priests. The high light of the day would be the fascinating welcome ceremony prepared by the Hosting Unit Dallas. The procession and Inaugural ceremony will be on Friday morning to maximize participation and to accommodate late arrivals. Friday will be filled with activities like Art and Lit competitions, Seminars, Sports, games and other activities for the youth and children. The day will end with some spectacular show of talents by major units like New York and Houston. The dress code for the day will be Kerala Style for both men and women. Saturday is probably the busiest day for all the kids who participate in various competitions. The highlight of the day will be spectacular show of talents by CHICAGO (the unit with the most number of registrants), Dallas-the hosting unit, KCYLNA organized Battle of the Cities and the Knanaya Beauty Pageant. Sunday begins with the Holy Mass in the morning followed by closing ceremony. The closing ceremony also marks the inauguration of the centennial celebrations of Kottayam Archdiocese, a celebration we begin in North America. The convention will come to its final closing and grand finale at the Banquet. We have a record number of registrants with a lot of dignitaries and Guests from Knanaya Associations outside of KCCNA. The whole Knanaya community around the world is waiting for this event. I need your prayers to make this a grand success and enjoyable to all of us. This is not a political gathering but rather a family reunion. I want you to come to this convention with a warm heart to renew friendship, to make new friendship and to spread the cheer around. In a few days you will begin your travel plans. If you need a ride from the Airport to the convention center, please contact the Transportation chair at the earliest. If you need any information about the convention, visit our website, www.kccnaconvention.net, or contact any of the convention chairpersons. Once again on behalf of the entire KCCNA Executive Committee and Steering committee I welcome you all to Dallas. One People, One heritage, Moving forward. George Nellamattam President of KCCNA
